Direct Voice and Data (DVAD) invites proposals for the supply, implementation, and support of an integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Portal, and eCommerce Platform. The solution must bring together customer management, quoting, eCommerce, service delivery, analytics, and finance into a single, secure, cloud-based system. This project forms a key part of DVAD’s digital transformation strategy and will replace multiple legacy systems and manual processes with an integrated platform that improves efficiency, customer experience, and scalability.
Overview
DVAD is a Huddersfield-based managed service provider delivering IT Services & Cyber Security, Telecommunications, and Workplace Infrastructure to UK
businesses. We design, supply, install, and support technology solutions, specialising in helping SMEs improve productivity and resilience through secure, connected systems.
Our current CRM (Dynamics 365) and related tools are largely manual and disconnected. Customers must contact our team for quotes or updates, and our reporting and finance processes rely heavily on spreadsheets. To address this, DVAD will implement a single, modern platform that connects sales, service, and finance, with eCommerce and self-service capabilities for customers.
The new platform will support approximately 25-30 users across sales, service, projects, and finance, with scope for future expansion as the business grows.
The aims of the project are to:
• Streamline sales, service, and finance operations into one unified platform
• Enable 24/7 eCommerce and customer self-service
• Improve data accuracy and reporting through real-time dashboards
• Enhance customer satisfaction and retention
• Support growth without increasing operational overhead
Outputs / Deliverables
The supplier will be expected to deliver:
• Cloud-hosted CRM implementation and configuration
• Customer Portal with secure authentication and service visibility (tickets, invoices, quotes)
• eCommerce functionality for product and service purchasing, add-ons, and renewals
• Integration with existing finance and billing systems
• Migration of data from existing CRM, quoting, and finance sources
• Real-time dashboards and reporting (sales, service, and financial performance)
• Workflow automation for quotes, orders, and customer communications
• Training for users and administrators
• User acceptance testing and go-live support
• Project management and documentation throughout the process
Contract Management
The project will commence in early 2025, with an initial go-live target of Q1 FY 2026 (April) to align with DVAD’s financial year. Continuous enhancement will follow
based on feedback and adoption. The DVAD contract manager for this project will be Adam Pinder (Sales & Commercial Director).
Award Criteria
Proposals will be assessed on the following criteria:
• Technical fit with functional requirements
• Ability to integrate CRM, portal, eCommerce, and finance components
• Implementation approach and timeline
• User experience and interface design
• Data security, compliance, and scalability
• Total cost of ownership and ongoing support model
• Supplier experience with MSP or B2B technology providers
Procurement Process
This schedule has been designed to balance transparency and fairness with DVAD’s internal requirements. It provides adequate time for suppliers to review documentation, raise clarifications, and prepare robust proposals, while maintaining a clear path toward a project commencement by the end of January 2026 and a go-live in Q1 2026.
All correspondence and proposal submissions should be sent by email to systemsandtools@dvad.co.uk.
