How To Use Voicemail on an Alcatel-Lucent 4019 Business Telephone

Here is a guide to using Voicemail…

Setting Up Your Voicemail

The first time you access your mailbox, you will be asked to set it up.

1. To access your mailbox, press the MAIL key
2. You will be asked to enter a 4-digit passcode of your choice
3. After entering your 4-digit code, the code will be repeated back to you
4. To accept the passcode, press #
5. You will then be asked to speak your name and then press #
6. You can choose to playback your name
7. Press # to confirm your settings

Re-Record Your Name

You can re-record your name at any point.

1. If you’re not already in your mailbox, press the MAIL key
2. Press  the “i” key and numbers 614
3. Speak your name and then press #
4. Press # to save settings

Record Mailbox Greeting

A personalised greeting can be recorded as follows…

1. If you’re not already in your mailbox, press the MAIL key
2. Press the “i” key and numbers 611
3. Speak your greeting and press # when you have finished
4. Confirm your greeting by pressing #

Listening To Your Voice Messages

If your mail key is flashing, you will have new messages.

To access your mailbox, press the MAIL key

1. Press 1 to listen to voice messages
2. Enter your passcode and then listen to the prompts to retrieve your messages
3. To skip a message, press +

Viewing Text Messages

If you have a text message, it is essentially a missed call.

1. To access your mailbox, press the MAIL key
2. Press 3 to view text message / missed caller number
3. To return a missed call, press OK to dial
4. Press 2 to delete the number

Diverting Calls to Voicemail

If you are out of the office or in a meeting, you may want to divert all your calls to voicemail.

1. Press the DIVERT key or dial *21
2. Then press the MAIL key
3. Press the DISCONNECT key
4. To cancel the divert, press DIVERT or #21

Collecting Messages from Outside the Office

It is possible to dial-in and listen to your messages even when you are out of the office.

1. Dial your office DDI number
2. When your greeting is played, press * and #
3. Enter your extension number and passcode
4. You will then be able to navigate your mailbox as above.
