Microsoft have announced that from 8th April 2014 their support for Windows XP will end. This means that any PCs with XP installed will stop receiving Microsoft security updates and as a result, Windows XP will become an unsecured operating system over time.
An unsecure operating system means that hackers have more potential to compromise the system, which could lead to your machines becoming infected, potentially damaging your machine or losing confidential data.
Business telephones and IT system providers Direct Voice and Data can offer advice and guidance and provide alternative ways of moving to a new version of Windows.
Whilst using Windows XP won’t immediately become a problem from 8th April, it is highly advisable to move to a new version of Microsoft Windows as soon as possible.
