Skelmanthorpe-based business telephones and IT system solution provider Direct Voice and Data have furthered established their partnership with Huddersfield Town Football Club to support the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Breakfast Club Initiative.
Launched in July 2012, the “Early Kick Off Breakfast Club” initiative was developed to help ensure that Huddersfield’s children start their school day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast. The scheme was initially provided to five specially selected schools but has since been extended to support 13 schools and has served approximately 100,000 breakfasts since its inception.
Helping to serve breakfasts to the children, Direct Voice and Data’s Managing Director, Dave Henderson, attended the recent breakfast club at Dalton Junior & Infants School. Keeping up with the demands of the hungry children, Dave was on hand to provide a constant stream of buttered toast alongside representatives with other local businesses.
Regarding the Town Foundation’s initiative Dave commented, “Attending the breakfast club was a real eye-opener and I was incredibly touched to be able provide breakfast to children that wouldn’t otherwise get any. The Town Foundation’s initiative is phenomenal and I am keen for myself and the rest of the Direct Voice and Data team to get involved on a regular basis”.
