DVAD provided the mobile phones for our team at Huddersfield BID. We’d never had any issues with them and DVAD’s customer service was always excellent, so we called Rakesh, our Account Manager, to enquire about telephone lines and broadband services.
We were moving into a much bigger unit, and our team was tripling in size, so extra capacity was needed. At our old office, broadband connectivity dropped daily at around 3pm and the phone connection was crackly and intermittent. Downloading large files or having a meeting on Teams was sometimes impossible, which isn’t ideal in the current climate. Our providers were little to no help, and we wanted to ensure that when we moved premises we had the best installation possible.
Rakesh listened to our needs and issued a reasonable quote with agreed timescales and a promise to move quickly on installation and connection. It’s worth mentioning that we gave Rakesh 2 weeks to connect the internet service in our new unit, which is pretty unreasonable, and BT would never have been able to fulfil this request.
Within 2 weeks we had broadband and within 4 weeks our phone line connection was up and running. Rakesh arranged the change of provider with BT, so we received no hassling calls from BT asking us to stay with them.
The installation project was managed by Dave Owen, who was brilliant at communicating what was happening and when. Ian, the engineer, installed the equipment and was thorough in his instruction on how to use the new system and new phones. He helped myself and my team set up the call switch, which allows us to answer our main line when we are away from the office.
